After-Prom or Study for APs???

My school's prom is on Saturday and I am definitely going, but most of my friends are going to after-prom at my school around midnight. The problem is that I have two AP tests on Monday plus a review session for AP Psych on Sunday from 5-9 pm (I get a ton of extra credit for going).

So if I go to after-prom, I will be completely exhausted, get home around 4 am., sleep for a few hours, study for APES, go to my AP Psych review session, and then face the dread of two exams on Monday.

Do you all think I should go to after-prom? I heard it's a lot of fun but I don't know if it will be worth it to be so tired...

Please don’t mind my lack of knowledge about you, but are you a senior?

Go to after-prom man.

APES and Psych? Go to after-prom. If you had Chem or something more rigorous, then I’d suggest you study.

Also, assuming you’re a senior, check the college you’re going to. See what scores you’ll need for credit. If you need 5’s on APES and Psych for a gen ed you’d really hate, you might wanna study.

I would like to say that it would be very smart to get as many college credits as possible because you never know what the future brings- you may want those credits rather than paying an extra 30,000 for a semester of college down the road!! Or not…

I am a senior…and my college doesn’t even accept credits for APES or psych…my main motivation is getting a weighted gpa for those classes and receiving money (since my school gives us $100 if we get a 3 or higher). Also, I feel like I will disappoint my teachers if I don’t get a 5.

My reasoning seems stupid when I think about it, but I just don’t want to perform less than my best even if I’m not getting college credit. I still want to study for those exams…

Assuming that this weekend is not the first time you are studying for the tests, go to after prom. APES and psych aren’t the most challenging tests.

OK, now this makes even less sense. You got into college, In a few weeks no one will care what your weighted GPA was. Your teachers won’t be disappointed; even if they were, you’re outta there. Go to after-prom.

Go to after prom. As a Senior you’ve earned some fun and you’ll look back on it in 5 years and be happy you did. If you don’t know the subject matter by now, you’re not going to learn it any better during one last review session. BTW you don’t have to please your teachers, it’s your future, not theirs, please yourself. You will do your best because you’ll be relaxed and happy.

I vote for after-prom

After-prom, man. Worth way more than the $200 you might miss out on if you come in tired on Monday.

Uh, why don’t you either leave the party early or study some time before like on Friday or sat morning

You should probably at least make an appearance at the party

Definitely study on Saturday before prom, just don’t exhaust yourself so that you can still enjoy your night (assuming you’ve been studying prior to now). Take it easy Sunday, go over the things that need some work, and you should be fine.

I like the idea of getting paid to pass AP exams.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I think I’m going to after-prom because yolo
and yes, getting paid is very nice

Smart decision

Have fun at after-prom! Nice choice :)

Good choice. Enjoy!!
