After residence halls, how do you rank plaza vs. suite?

in the housing application, it asks us to rank the three different facility types. After the Residence Hall, whats the next best things (in terms of close to campus, social, etc) Plazas or Suites?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but freshmen won't get the Suites.

I know two current freshmen who are in suites--but they were extremely lucky, and it happened because Rieber opened last minute. At College Honors Day they didn't even show us the suites, saying that we probably wouldn't get them anyway.

Suites > Plazas

I originally wanted a res hall as a my first choice, but after visiting..... I took a look and even though it's pretty sanitary, there are only 6-7 showers and stalls on each floor.

I picked plazas simply because we have no chance of getting a suite anyways, and they're much more sociable.

btw bayarea88- which school do you go to? I'm from sf too!

"there are only 6-7 showers and stalls on each floor"

this is almost never a problem, my hall has 5 showers/4 stalls and there's never been crowding. everyone's schedules are different in college so it's extremely rare that you won't be able to get a stall/shower whenever you need to use it, in fact i don't think it's ever happened to me.

I've personally never experienced a lack of shower stalls in the residence hall bathrooms... you'll rarely have more than three stalls occupied at once except during peak times (e.g. 7:00-7:30 AM). Same with the toilet stalls.
