After I login to check my status, there is a blank on "Received" column for HS Transcripts 1 Official and ACT/SAT Test Scores. Does that mean I need to re-mail my transcript to UIUC? Or should I wait until somethings comes up?

Also, the website says that they received my App Fee, Signature, Essay #1 and 2, but the Status column is all blank, too. Should I just patiently wait? I submitted my online application yesterday so I'm freaking out..

OK, breathe. First of all, I hope you know you missed the priority filing deadline of November 10th. In order to hear an admission decision by Dec. 14th, all materials needed to be sent/postmarked by Nov. 10th. You will now get your decision in -- I can't remember. Feb? Mar? It's on the website, under admission FAQs. All your other materials need to be in by Jan. 1st, I believe.
Secondly -- when did you send your ACT/SAT score to the school? They need an official score report sent directly by the college testing service. Did you list U of I as a recipient when you took the test? If not, you must request that an additional score report be sent. When did you ask for your transcript to be sent? If it was just in the last couple of days, give it some time. It usually takes your school a few days to get it sent; then it takes U of I a few days to get it processed.

Yeah, I know I missed the priority deadline but will this hurt my chance in any way? (Besides the fact that I will hear the decision on February or March).
Also, I did request the SAT score to be sent directly to U of I before I took the test on November 3rd. And I asked my counselor to mail my transcript around early October. So when do you think I will hear my status?

i dont know why you submitted it after the priority deadline cause getting it in by then increases your chances a lot.

as for the transcript and SAT scores, it takes a while for the college to update your status (about 3 days later). my transcript arrived exactly on the 10th although the status for me was updated around the 13th-14th.

UI also gives you like a lax period of 3 weeks. so if you didnt get your SAT, transcript, and stuff all turned in, it gives you 3 weeks.

"as for the transcript and SAT scores, it takes a while for the college to update your status (about 3 days later)."

Well, the problem is, they still haven't updated my status. I submitted my online application on Nov. 15th and it's been 6 days. There still is a blank space on the "Received" column for my "HS Transcript 1 Official." Should I just patiently wait until they update it? (I'm just wondering whether it usually takes this long for them to update my status).

I think you need to remember that U of I is a BIG bureaucratic place with thousands of applications coming in. Right now, they are in the middle of dealing with all the priority applicants. Also, your materials went out in a slightly unorthodox order -- that is, you sent transcripts before you had an application on file. It may be that your transcript is lost in the shuffle. It may be that things are taking a lot longer right now because of the priority apps.
Dig around on the U of I site, identify your admissions rep (I know they are all listed there for every region of the country), and send them an e-mail. In the e-mail, refer to the exact date the transcript left your high school (you can get that date from your counselor's office.) Ask THEM if you should send another transcript.
There is no way your scores are there yet after a Nov. 3rd testing date.
All this running around and double-checking is frustrating, I know, but it's a big part of college applications. You are being very responsible to make sure your stuff is there before the deadline. Good luck.

i wouldn't worry too much. I also had my transcript sent before my app. I put in my request around Oct 8 and submitted my app around the 20th. Until last friday it had a blank in the transcript recieved collumn, but when they updated it, it said they got it on the 12th of october. so it took about a month for them to update.

I definitely agree that it doesn't sound like you need to be too worried. However, if you feel you are at a point where worrying/maybe even panicking is more legitimately called for, I would encourage you to call the admissions office to address the situation. I'm a frosh here at UIUC and while my application for illinois was a breeze, I had some serious issues with my application for UMass (I'm oos, from massachusetts). They had two different applications on file for me, and so registered both of them as incomplete, each missing what the other had. (one was under my full name, the other was under my full name minus middle name plus middle initial). And UMass is half as big as Illinois! (and probably gets less than half the amount of applications). It took some phone calls (during which it always paid off to be VERY polite) but finally my application was united. (although I got a decision about a month after everyone else. gahh.)

ANYHOW. it sounds like you don't need to freak out, just give it a little space, but before you ever do anything like submitting something twice, I would encourage you to call them (emailing takes longer, adds more stress as you wait for a reply) so that in the end if someone else gets annoyed that they have extra paperwork from you, at least you can be vouched for that someone else in the office advised you do so.

wow. that was a lot longer than I originally intended. well, too late now, I'm too tired to edit, sorry. goodnight everyone!
