<p>Whether you send the tax forms now or wait until asked depends on the particular school. Just call the school and ask. You will get only one answer, then, and it will be the right one.</p>
<p>EFC is calculated by way of a set arithmetical formula. It is always "correct" in that the input numbers are multiplied and added correctly. The output won't change unless the input is changed.</p>
<p>Most of my schools (I'm applying to 8) require that you send tax forms as verification of your data. Check the fin aid office websites of the schools you're applying to. Phone calls are nice and direct too.</p>
