What are all of your AP classes doing now that the tests have passed? I am loving my classes right now because I took mostly AP tests and we are just watching movies and relaxing.

AP Language- Reading two more books, one more test, and watching movies on those books

AP Stats- Teacher is still trying to teach us the last chapter but everyone is ignoring him
since this week is the seniors' last week and there are only 3 juniors in there.

APUSH- We are working on the final exam project which is to create a 3 minute movie trailer and it's tons of fun. :)

AP Bio- The teacher is helping us prepare for the exam since its harder than the stupid AP exam was and we're watching movies and he wants to do a dissection or two but its really slack.

AP Psych- Watching movies (we will be watching at least five movies before the end of school).

And my other two classes are complete jokes too. In Spanish we are doing the oral part of the exam so we will do that for about 3 minutes each and have the rest of the period off for the rest of the week while others are doing their exams. In Forensics we are doing a presentation on serial killers then we will watch more movies and go over the exam review.

Anyone else going to love the next two weeks?

APUSH: Personal Time Line that shows a plethora of certain types of events for each year of my life; Group media project from a 20th century decade (my group has the 1960’s). It’s a 20+ minute video. =P That’s all.

Since my school is taking standards there’s not too much left to do. Reading The Great Gatsby in English, which is easy since I’ve already read it. Review in Chem, studying for finals in Pre-Calc, Japanese 3 and Chinese 2.

Calc: Apples to Apples. Every Day
Euro History: keep on going. ours is a 2-year IB course
English: Keep going. AP exam was never even bothered with in class

Spanish: peliculas y un poquito trabajo.

Physics: Watching HOUSE
BC: Nothing, we get to leave class

Euro - 2 long projects

Comp Sci - 4 long programming assignments and a final (wth?)

AP American: I’m doing a presentation on what to expect Senior Year [I’m a Senior and everyone else is a Junior
AP Chem: Nothing

AP Calc Lab: Scum
AP Research: Screwing around on the computer

cap alc - chess
apush - we started a game of risk that has been going on since two days after the test ended
AP comp sci - TF2 or company of heros or COD 4

AP physics: Building boats out of PVC piping and canvas that we’ll race in the pool.
AP calc BC: learning about credit so that we’ll be responsible consumers and not be in horrible debt before the age of 23.
AP italian: watching movies.
AP comp gov: Creating governments which we will then trade and solve their problems (It’s actually kind of fun, though a bit more work than I would have liked)

APUSH
In Class: Rock Band, Rock Band, Rock Band (3 “quizzes” at end of year on state geography, state capitals, and pick presidents out of a list of 80 people, pretty much for grades) oh and a pizza party within the next few days/whenever we can get a place to deliver at 10 in the morning
Out-of-class: 3 one-page papers on ANY topic (one last year was why pirates are better than ninjas to give an idea), letter to a representative on a topic we think is important

English Language and Composition
Reading Hamlet (no grades, quizzes, or anything, just reading and discussing) 3-5 page paper on any facet of society (teacher describes it as a chance to just write for passion instead of writing for a grade, and it has produced a lot of cool essays over the years, I’m writing on the commercial effects of the Information Age)

AP Chem-seen a couple episodes of Two and a Half Men and King of Queens with more comedies to follow, and some type of dessert every class

APUSH-saw Saving Private Ryan, watching Airplane now, and have a project for next week where we have to present We Didn’t Start the Fire with events from 1989-2009

AP Stat-watched 21, did a lab to see if oreo’s are really double-stuffed (they’re not), and now have to take a couple of quizzes so we have some grades for our teacher to put in his book

AP Psych-watched A Beautiful Mind, but now our teacher has an “assignment” planned, but won’t tell us

AP Eng. Lang.-watching and reading Malcolm X, will read Macbeth next, and present recent Supreme Court cases

AP Bio - Watching some sci-fi movies (The Island, Gattaca, Jurrasic Park) and going to start some project next week. He hasn’t told us what it’s about but I’m guessing it will be easy.

AP Calc BC - Watching some random movies that are semi-math related or playing cards.

AP Lang - Working on a 3-5 page research paper on colleges of our choice.

APUSH - He’s continuing to lecture on miscellaneous topics that we pick. We’ve been going over the Kennedy assassination for a week and having a test on it tomorrow. We also have a 8 page research paper on a topic of our choice.

AP Cal - going over Maclaurin Theory and Talor Polynominals… Then parametric cause teacher thinks we “need” this in college even though all of us are retaking calculus cause its a breeze in college.

AP Lit - reading Chronicle of A Death Foretold. Quite a boring book, no twists, predictable and I don’t think it is “of literary value…” Should have read Slaughter House 5 :).

AP Macro - Watching frontline… then cbs, then we have 6 guest speaks lined up talking about death penalty, stock markets, torture, homosexual rights, going green, and how to not gain freshman 15…

Everyone has senioritis… EVERYONE. Our Valedictorian is already on “break” and rest of us are just chilling while the teachers think we give a care cause AP exams are over and thus, we don’t need to really do anything…

I must have the WORST time ever:
Magnet Physics-my teacher has added a 19-page PDF of new material, such as circuits and waves, during AP week, despite the fact that nearly everyone was test, that we MUST do. Freak, he only gave us about 3 days to do it, and now I just want to choke him because he is just so unreasonable. Plus, he is the WORST teacher ever; I hate it when he says, “well, I don’t know what to say, but you still have to do it anyway”.

APUSH: we’re doing a 1960s edible project

Medical Science: presenting some case studies, pretty fun
