Future: I want to go into publishing (book editor, critic, something of the sort)

I'm applying early decision.
I've tried to find an alumna in my area, but there aren't any and my family won't travel to Mass. unless I get accepted. So I'm a bind for an interview. I would really like to have one, it just seems impossible.

Any advice, comments, suggestions, etc would be appreciated. :-)

I think you've got a good chance. As far as the interview stuff goes, I bet you could write something to go with your application explaining that you wanted to have an interview but couldn't find an alumna to do it with.

Call the admissions office and see if you can set up a phone interview. Those are specifically for students without a local alum. Your stats are definitely within range, but if you want to add some extra information about yourself personally, go ahead and do that.

Thanks, I'll definitely look into those suggestions. :-)
