Age old question: what do you want to be when you "grow up?"

I wanted to be a lawyer and politician for as long as I can remember but my family attacks those people often so I decided against it. I took one computer class and decided I love it. So something with computers. Like a tech guy at a company.

I’m going to be an I-banker for 10 years then be a cardiothoracic surgeon for the rest of my life.

^^^I want to be a doctor because I want to help people

I will most likely pursue a psychology career, more specific: industrial organization, work in businesses and pick the best people for certain jobs, and interpreting people’s behavior to increase work efficiency, etc. Or maybe a clinical psychologist…I am still wondering, since my primary choice may require a doctorate degree >.>

i-banker, then use my own capital to start a successful hedge fund.

Pediatric Endocrinologist - to treat kids (like me) with type 1 diabetes

Environmental Engineer - save the world

A happy person. I’m not exactly happy or even near it right now so I’m hoping things will get better.

I have two things that just interest me and its US History (Colonial) and Biology(Anatomy and Cellular). So I have two or three careers I think I’d like.

A Dentist

A US History Professor

A HS Biology Teacher

Dentists work great hours, great pay, and rather rewarding job. Professor for US History would be great to teach others and decent pay and just learn more! Biology teacher would be fun because I like to teach and would want to set up a curriculum that was fun and learned everything you can teach  may do that after retiring from dentistry

I’m interested in Neuroscience and International Relations. If i pursued neuroscience, I’d definitely go to med. school. My goal would be to become either a neurosurgeon or psychiatrist. However, if I end up liking IR more, I really want to work for the government. I’d love to be a diplomat, possibly a rep. at the UN…but that’s unlikely. :(

I want to be a teacher, then a principal, and then open my own school. :)

I would like to be an English teacher and eventually move on to something more policy-related with the ultimate goal of mending an inefficient, ailing, and disparate educational system.

Let’s do this!

@LaCielle I want to be a doctor because I think I’d be good at it. Biology and anatomy are my strongest subjects. I enjoy interacting with people. The gratitude that comes from helping others is great. It also pays well. Med school seems kind of brutal, though.

Wife of a famous politician and then a minister.
Since it’s almost impossible, I’ll just go and try to prevent hunger in Africa and travel the world.

Politician dealing with International Relations and then, when I’m older, in the US Government, trying to reform legislation to reflect changing values while maintaining what makes this country greet.

LOL this is EXACTLY what I was going to post. Well, that and a lawyer.

@LaCielle: lol even though nowadays it may seem that people want to become doctors just for the prestige and money, there are still people out there who want to do it for the sake of helping people. Like me.

except right now i’m utterly torn between a science-related career and a politics-related career. I love chemistry, orgo, bio, anatomy, lab research but i also love love love international relations and political science. Luckily i still have time…welll, kinda.

I just want to chase my dreams, even if I end up poor so what? Life is meaningless, give it a meaning.

Something related to international relations, human rights, languages, philosophy, environmental studies, sociology, or anthropology. I really have no idea as of right now but I’m not concerned, only 40% through high school at this point.

I want to be a doctor because I am literally in love with biology, and anatomy is really easy for me to understand. I also find myself working better when I’m with people and I also want to help people. The career is my dream, and the money paid if I’m good at it is just an added bonus to my passion.

I wanna be a firetruck.
