Age on HS graduation and first day of college

17 for graduation
18 for first day of college

(Birthday is in July)

Actually, from my experience, most people have birthdays in October. I wonder why that is.

olleger, that must suck. There’s a guy in my grade whose birthday is December 31, and a girl who repeated a grade whose birthday is January 1.

17, HS graduation.
17, first day of college.

19 is a very normal age to start college in the U.S.

17 when I graduate high school.
18 (for 18 days) when I start college. (birthday August 1st, August 19th is my first day)

New Year’s celebratory sex? ;)

LOL^ 17 for both, and 18 in December!

Well I’m just glad to see that everyone’s different, I’ll be 18 at the start of college but will turn 19 within the first semester.

17 at graduation, 17 when I start college. My college starts August 30th and I turn 18 on the 31st.

Haha, this is interesting. So many people skipped grades! I’ll be 17 upon graduation and 17 or 18 when I start, depending on which school I choose (though I’m leaning towards the one which starts later). I actually missed the cutoff date by less than a week in the place I lived originally, and my parents couldn’t afford private kindergarten, so I was in preschool when I was 5. But when I moved, they let me skip kindergarten once they saw that I could read/write/do arithmetic, so I ended up in the right grade! =P Honestly, I think skipping grades is a waste. I took classes that were advanced for my grade throughout high school (university classes now), but didn’t have to lose a year of childhood.

I have alot of extra credits & could graduate right before I turn 16 but i’ll probaly wait till the next year after that…idk…so i’ll be 16 or 17 for freshmen year of college /:

17 on graduation, 17 first day of college, and i won’t be 18 until late october.

18 for graduation and the first day of college.

17 on graduation and 18 for college.

I love summer birthdays. :D

I was 17 when I graduated HS and 17 when I started college :stuck_out_tongue: My b-day is in late September.

I will be 17 when I graduate and 18 when I start; bday is early August.

Graduation: 17 (and 355 days)
Matriculation: 18

My sister was 17 for the first month or so of college. It was no big.

lol, I feel so old.

I am 18 when I graduate high school, and 19 when I start my first semester.

 • My birthday is exactly on Move in Day!*

I’ll be 18 both at graduation and matriculation. But my friend turned 19 like a month into her freshman year, so I don’t think it’s totally uncommon. She didn’t take a gap year or anything, she just started school late.

when does college start?

My birthday is August 19th, so I’ll be 17 for graduation and probably 17 when i start college?
