it seems too good to be true! i am very excited, but afraid to get to hopeful and be disappointed...

So is that only for the incoming freshman class?

i think so. i think its for the new freshman class and all the classes after...

So people like me can end up with 60k in loans to pay off? That's great. While that may be a very nice opportunity for lower income students, it's extremely unfair to the majority of students who are like me... their parent's make a middle-class income and can't afford to pay for much if any of college either.

They need to devise another strategy to help out lower-income students. To me it just sounds like this is indirectly addressed at the want to attract more minorities to A&M.

it does suck for others. i feel bad. i think it would be nice if tuition was much cheaper altogether in this country. its not as though the universities are running out of funding. i would think that the gov would care a bit more about it, especially the public schools, because if we cant afford to educate our youth, then we are going to have no chance keeping up with the new global economy

Thanks to Rick Perry for deregulating Texas tuition....
