Aggregate limit for summer aid

I’m taking summer classes and I’m wondering if I will get aid over the summer. I’m never able to get loans during the fall and spring semester because I get too much in scholarships and grant money. Since I won’t get scholarships or grant money over the summer will I be able to get loan money? I’ve already applied, but I’m anxiously waiting and want a answer.

Thanks

No thoughts?

You will most likely be able to get loan money, although it depends on your scholarship total. If you had a ton of outside scholarships that far exceeded the cost of attendance for fall/spring, some of that will count toward summer. If not, though, your summer loans will probably be determined using the summer cost of attendance, with your EFC adjusted to a summer only number, and your current year in school as the guideline for loan maximums. Your school will need to package your aid manually, so contact your aid office to ask them their process. Many schools have a summer loan request form.

Ok great. So basically it’s up to the University on how they handle the loans for summer?
