Alright, so my HS, which only saw 2 cornells and a CMU last year (we are in NY), has already seen 1 NYU, 1 Yale, 2/2 Cornells, 1 Tulane, 1 JHU. All applicants to those schools got in. …6 people, including myself, applied EA to BC. Ruh-roh.

maserrano i’m confused - 7 kids from my school applied early to BC and we’ve already had 2 cornells, 1 duke, 1 columbia, 4 NYUs, 1 upenn, 5 tulanes, 3 wiscos… are you thinking that the other schools impact your chances at BC? they’re unrelated

maserrano, I’m just as nervous as you are, but for an entirely different reason: My HS saw 1/2 cornells, one UPenn reject, one Columbia deferral, and our salutatorian (my best friend) was rejected from Stanford even with a perfect 1600/1600 SAT and some solid recommendations…although to be fair, his essays were a little avant-garde haha. My friend and I both applied and I’d like to think we’re both qualified for acceptance. Only time will tell, though. Best of luck! :)

OH and we got a stanford, but thats the mystical Tim Luthin who is one of the best xc runners in the nation. Warwick has a lot going for it…

on an unrelated note, i am still mad about this no tabs business.

ssssaaaaaaaaaaame

Don’t they historically come out the day after mailing, as in tomorrow, 12/16?

Haha, yes. I run xc and track as well. And yes, warwick has a lot going for it when it comes to running: like, for instance, the fastest high school 4x800m relay time in the nation last spring. Not too shabby. Glad to hear Luthin is going to Stanford though. Their xc team is scary good.

I’m proud to say that I’m on that team :-)

maserrano- were you a transfer student or regular early action applicant? where were you able to make the payment?

EA- and yes. It was deducted from my banking account on Monday.

Just got my acceptance at Fordham which said they won’t be sending e-mails, but I guess for internationals, they did… I wish BC would do the same :)

In response to all of this tension i would just like to point out that honestly, college is just a stepping point in our lives. Imagine living in Rwanda and worrying more about getting shot than if you resume or essay is good enough to get into school. This superficial worrying is of no benefit, the applications are already in and the decisions made.
so people. RELAX. breath. go on a walk. preferably to the beach. read a book. eat some pasta. and don’t stalk the mail man waiting for your letter.

I totally agree with you
the obsession that you have invested in a completely a turn off to a potential fellow college student
Rwanda is way more intense than this so thank you omg3- your my hero
I would walk along the beach and then maybe do some scuba diving
in this weather i think the polar bear club may be your best shot
once again anyone from Rwanda would never even have that opportunity

I agree, I’ve been all over the place freaking out, but when I can I try to get some runs in to soothe.

same same
we can take jog around campus come september

peaches021893 - i love that idea.
