Agribusiness vs Business

How similar are the ag business classes to the regular business classes? Are the flow charts pretty much the same with a few ag classes in their? Also if I wanted to switch to a different business major, would it be easier than chaning from something like soil science to business?

Hope this helps. You will probably need the third link above to know what the courses are that are listed on the flowcharts.

Some courses may over lap making the transition easier. However, business is one of the harder majors to transfer into

I wonder if it is any easier switching into business from ag business considering that they are the both the same and one just has a specific emphasis. Does anyone know someone who has switched in the college of business?

[Advising ? Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](Changing Major | Orfalea Student Services)

This link gives the requirements to change into the Business Administration major. I think changing into business from any major is doable, but I think it is also very competitive. I think changing from Ag Business would be no easier or harder than from any other major. I would guess the biggest barrier to changing into Business would be the competition. Many more want to change into business, than they can accommodate, and “The application process is a fair process by which available spaces are filled by the most qualified students.”

It says they take people who believe will thrive in their department. So if one does well in agribusiness, wouldn’t they believe that person could succeed in regular business?
