This is the same me colleges are going to see. What do you guys think are my chances of admittance at places like Hopkins? Columbia?

Thanks a lot, any responses--good or bad, I don't care, as long as they're constructive and honest--would be hugely appreciated!

i think w/ some great essays you will have a good shot at columbia and hopkins! the bigger ivies like HYP im not so sure…everyone seems to have a tough chance w/ those. Good luck!

Agree with ayn0nimus. blow them away with a great essay just don’t use any cliche topics.

You’re a very strong candidate, good luck!

Chance me too

i think your a high match for JHU and NWU because of your very high SAT which is like 250 pts. above their average. As for Ivy league schools you are the average applicant so you need great essays separate yourself

PS- thanks for the chance

Thanks for all the chances, but I guess I should have mentioned subjective things. My essays will be phenomenal since I excel at creative writing. Also, my guidance counselor will write in her recommendation that my maternal grandfather died during my freshman year and I had to miss a lot of school because of that; my paternal grandmother is also very ill right now during my junior year which is having somewhat of an adverse impact, all of which she’ll convey. The recommendations should be excellent as well.

anyone else? chances? anything at all would really help!
