I heard on the news the Republican Club is, ironically, Berkeley’s largest club.

I did not attend Berkeley; my wife did. So, i can’t speak about liberalism at Cal.
I went to Cambridge in the UK.
If you have questions about Oxford, I may be able to answer a few of them. ![]()
Still couldn’t find the site. My pdf file was erased from my pc

wow thank you rml…can you explain to me about getting the phd prerequisite… and what do you need again exactly to apply for their med school, i know i could look this up, but you have the insiders perspective…?..

actually, my undergrad major was comsci. anyways,
in the UK, medicine is not really considered a postgraduate education, unlike in the US.
In the UK, all you need to acquire in order to be eligible to apply to medical schools is either an International Baccalaureate or A-Levels. But if you already have a bachelor’s degree, there are several excellent universities that accept students through that program and the 2 most well-known of these unis are Warwick and St George’s, UL.
If you have an undergrad earned from a US school, might as well pursue med school in the US as there are certain laws (for illegibility) that bar those grads from other countries from practicing as a physician in the US and vice versa.
If you are a physician, you can specialize or even sub-specialize in any UK uni including Oxbridge.
Now, if you want to practice in the UK, pursue med school in the UK. But I don’t think that’s what you really want to be doing after med school.

oh i see well then thank you!

^ No problem :)

Now, between UC Berkeley and UCLA, I would strongly recommend that you go to UC Berkeley. From the data I was takling about earlier which I couldn’t find now but still am looking for it, Berkeley has the better record.

Welcome to Cal. Let’s come back in two years and revisit this thread. Your view of the world and of yourself should be immensely different by then. Good luck!
