Ahh!! College recs!

<p>I realized a reallllllly huge mistake I made.</p>

<p>I sent off 3 teacher recs for almost every college I applied to because our College Counseling office does this for us. There's a problem though. I'm worried about two of these colleges: NYU and William and Mary. </p>

<p>William and Mary don't require teacher recs so 3 would be a bit much for them.</p>

<p>NYU strictly only wants one. I forgot to check on the status of how many I needed in the first place. Stupid mistake I know.</p>

<p>How can I remedy this situation? Or am I just screwed?</p>

<p>They'll probably just ignore the extras, it should be okay.</p>

<p>I agree with jmds with respect to William and Mary. For NYU and other schools that require 1 or 2 teacher recs, you should email Admissions to specify which 1 or 2 recs you want them to use.</p>

<p>It's not a big deal, but you'll want to make clear the problem. Email NYU and William and Mary (though the latter should be fine) just in case.</p>
