Ahh confused. Berkeley or CMU? (CompSci)

ok, I've made an earlier thread here on Cambridge vs Berkeley, but since US sounds like more freedom of choice in courses, I'm thinking about these 2 as well. I'm from Singapore, and so I don't really have too much opinion about different locations in the US, but there are A LOT of Singaporeans in CMU, and well... I don't want to go for overseas study but stay in mini-Singapore.

I'm admitted to School of Computer Science in CMU and L&S in Berkeley. I put it down as undecided major, since I followed website instructions for L&S CompSci. I think restrictions have changed (it's not an impacted major anymore?), but oh well.

Certainly the US will have more freedom of choice in courses. Berkeley will give you the most freedom of choice, because it offers a wider variety of courses than CMU. You will have no problem studying CS in L&S at Berkeley, and you will have time to study other things as well. I certainly think Berkeley is in a better location than CMU. Berkeley has A LOT of Asian students (Chinese-American, Korean-American, etc.), but it's a very big campus there is a lot of diversity.

If it's CMU vs. Berkeley, I would pick Berkeley for sure.
