<p>My boyfriend last year got into the school [Northwestern] that he sent in a couple of minutes late if that helps!</p>
<p>I’m in the same boat too. I’m FOURTY SEVEN minutes late. Damn. </p>
<p>I seriously just didn’t even think to care and I thought I was okay until 12 PM (I live in Pacific timezone) and I forgot CommonApp is EST. </p>

<p>In a book written by a college admissions officer (I believe it was an Ivy League school), she said it was a bit sad seeing all those FedEx packages in the mailroom that students had sent to beat the deadline. They were so backlogged going through the apps that they wouldn’t get to the overnight deliveries for a few weeks. Bottom line: So it comes in a few days late, don’t sweat it.</p>
<p>Now, this was for her particular college, but I’d guess that many private universities are in a similar situation. They’re not going to reject your app fee and ignore a good candidate just because of a few hours. And I’m sure they run into the PT/ET time difference ALOT.</p>
<p>Of course, this is just my guess, ymmv, but I wouldn’t be too concerned about it.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t stress too much over it, and at this point, there’s not much you can do about it anyways.</p>
<p>You know what would be really sad, is if a genuine and desperate applicant got dumped over some casually late know-it-all who happened to have a better - but hours late - app.
Not saying that that’s what you guys are…but I would be f***ing annoyed.</p>

<p>where would it say downloaded? I’m in a similar situation and sent everything in month ago except never officially sent my “signature” on commonapp until this morning :(</p>

<p>@allnycolleges: click the NYU link at the homepage and it should say it in green in the center of the oage all parts of the application will be listed. As of right now mine still says complete (not downloaded) probably because its the weekend. They’ll most likely download it sometime this week.</p>
<p>I just emailed admissions and I was a whole DAY late and explained that I didn’t submit commonapp on time and they said it was fine it will still be reviewed :)</p>
