AHH MY REC GOT MESSED UP! And chance me for LAH please?

I had my best buddies program manager write me a rec letter and it was an AMAZING rec letter until it gets down to the bottom where it says: " I sincerely recommend ____ Hicks as the ideal candidate for the University of Texas Honors Program." My last name is NOT Hicks. Is there anything I can do? He's already submitted it. grrr. Do you think they'll notice?

Okay also can someone give me an idea for my chances in LAH?

I'm also an early graduating junior, so I'm not sure if that adversely affects my chances or whether it helps.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated! feel free to be brutally honest! thanks! :)

Statistically, you look fine, but LAH and Plan II both rely heavily on essays to make decisions, so that’s subjective.

As far as the rec goes, that SUCKS hahaha why did he/she think your last name was Hicks?

i have NO idea. I’ve known the guy for two years, i email him a lot, my last name is IN my email…ughhh. I’m so stressed out about it. I mean the rec letter was awesome…it talks about the volunteering I’ve done with best buddies and the huge amount of hours i’ve put in over the last three years…but seriously, how do you mess up my last name??? ahhh.

bump! anyone else? chances/opinions?

Honestly, I wouldn’t fret too much. I bet this type of thing happens all the time and much more often than people realize. I don’t think it will make you or break you. I attended the Honors Colloquium this summer and they told us that UT really doesn’t put much emphasis on the teacher recs anyway.
