Ahh! :-(

I haven't heard anything from WUSTL...and what the hell, I think I'm a decent candidate? My stats are fine Gpa : 3.8 uw, 4.7 w, top 1%, took hardest classes possible since 9th grade, in IB, 1440 SAT (720,720), my essay was fine, recommednations fine, i was vp and prez of my hospice club that did a crapload of stuff like raise over a thousand dollars for hospice AIDS workers in Africa and adopt 20 families each with like 4 kids for christmas and provide them with food and presents, i was active in mun i went to conferences etc, mu alpha competitions and volunteered, dancing state/local/shows, etc, my interview went smashing, i've talked to the admissions guy that came to our school like 5 times and he knows me...why havent I got anything?!? I need hope?! Do I have a chance?

jeezes cool down 99% of the accepted people havnn't yet received anything .

agreed .

you sound like a really great person and you do have some very decent stats! i'd say you have a very good chance at wash u. just because you didn't get a likely, or an invite for the weekend/free trip to wash u or whatever else everyone else is getting lately, there is still a chance you have been admitted! don't lose hope. good luck!!!
and yeah, so many people haven't gotten a thing.

i agree with everyone. Because i got a likely because i am a minority, so that is like half the likely letters right there (given to minorities) and the other recipients probably cured cancer or had an internship with the pope or something unreal like that and that is why they got a likely. I hope you get in! But just chill out a bit and also realize the college admissions process is really really NOT FAIR AT ALL i recommend reading "admissions confidential" by Rachel Toor or something. (I have no life) It is interesting how the selection process goes and it does not mean that they always choose the most "qualified" candidate. They have profiles they are trying to meet and selectivity issues to make them seem more prestigious. Read the book, and before you know it, it will be April 1st and you will have found out what the deal is with EVERYWHERE YOU APPIED. Again, good luck.
