I just checked and there were 3 things that were apparently due 5/5/2010, am I risking my chance of admission if I send them in a few days late? Their all financial aid related, but I already accepted my financial aid package! Please help!

You’re not risking your admission, but you might be risking your eligibility for the financial aid…

even if its just a form about my student dependency, and my parents 2009 tax return info? I already accepted the 20,000 they gave me, I might kill myself if I loose that just by missing a deadline on a small form by 2 days. ahhhhh this is not good!

Just give them a call!

Welcome to the real world.

This sounds like an excellent award! Is this in the form of loans and grants? That’s just about full-ride. Definitely make sure you keep on top of it! You wouldn’t want to lose something so generous. I agree, though—just give them a call.

My daughter missed the deadline for the parent’s tax forms and dependent verification for Pomona by a couple of days. I called them (the finanacial aid office), faxed the documents, called them again to verify they were received and all was well. Granted, SLO may do things differently, but do call the financial aid office and talk to them - and be prepared to submit the forms ASAP after the call.

it worked out fine, they said it wasn’t a deadline, just a due date so no penalty for turning it in late. Good harsh/scary reminder for me to stay on top of my to do list. Thanks for the help!
