Ahhhh! Transcript questions :)

<p>I’ll cut to the chase on these.</p>

<li><p>What happens if I have my transcript sent to a school, then I choose not to apply at all? There’s no hassle right, they’ll just throw it away after the application cycle is over?
(I had transcripts sent to Stanford and Harvard, but I’m no longer interested in applying.)</p></li>
<li><p>Do the transcripts have to arrive by the application deadlines? I’m having some sent today and tomorrow, and I don’t know if they will reach the opposite coast before December 31/Jan 1.</p></li>

<p>1) It will show up as an incomplete file, so you don't have to worry about anything.</p>

<p>2) The deadlines are postmark dates, unless they specifically say arrive by, even so, usually colleges are lenient with transcript stuff, but not your portion of the application.</p>
