I cannot get my critical reading score up.

I cannot get my critical reading score up.

Life sucks.

Yeah, it's the hardest one to improve. When are you retaking the SAT? If not til fall then I would do a lot of reading over the summer. That's the best way.

"Life sucks."
That's funny. Yes, it does. Don't worry. It may get better. And life is not only made up of the SAT. That's what I tell myself.

It's not?????
you mean I've been worrying about this for nothing?????
Why didn't someone tell me!!!!!!!

Math is the hardest for me. (any tips?)

Critical reading is the easiest lol. :)

Btw, which Barber concerto does your screen name refer to?

but anyways read A LOT that's my only tip. I've been a bookworm for the longest time and my CR score is quite good. Not perfect, but good.

yeah same, critical reading is the easiest, but that damn math

YEA ME 2!! im scoring close to an 800 on critical reading and can barely score over a 500 on math, I bought mcgraw hills, conquering the new sat math workbook hopefully it'll get over a 600 in math.

im using barrons math. i want like like a 650 math

Same with me... CR and Writing are fairly easy, it's the math that is hard. I'm hoping for around a 600 math.

CR is easiest for me.. but writing is hardest. Math is undecided, since I know alot of the concepts, I'm just not used to doing them fast paced.

As for some tips, I think reading more ARTICLES would help. You can read books, non-fiction only I would say, but articles might be better. I've heard that Economist is a good magazine. You should also try science articles, like Science magazine.

I have a question. Is there any literature on the CR? I can't really remember, but I think on the old ones there were. I mean literature like passages out of Dickens, Austen, etc.?
