AHHHHH! Stanford EA?

Do I have any chances at all of making Stanford EA? I posted my stats before (I'm sorry) but at that time I wanted to do Harvard EA. So, here they are again...any chances of getting into Stanford?

Anyways, here are my stats:

GPA: 4.00 (UW)
Rank: 2 out of 542 --based on weighted GPA
Straight A's, 12 AP classes by Senior Year

SAT I- 2270 (770M, 760W, 740V)
SAT II: MBiology-800
Chemistry- 740
Math IIC- 770
Literature (taking in Oct)
ACT: 35

AP Courses/Grades:

10th
AP Biology-A,5
AP World History-A,4

11th
AP Language, -A,5
AP Chemistry, A,5
AP Calc BC, A,5,5
AP US History, A, 4

12th
AP Spanish
AP Physics
AP Literature
AP Psychology
AP Statistics
AP Comp Civics (We the People)

So, I have tons of APs--12, I've taken the hardest course load at school, and I'm rank two. Academically, I think I'm okay, but my SATs are *uh..

Here are the ECs that mean the most to me:

1) Founder/President of Women's Help Organization--raise awareness about domestic violence in our community through forums, fundraisers, walk-a-thons.
2) Taekwon-do Student--2nd degree black belt, doing since 7 years
3) Taekwon-do Instructor--lead classes in the community (job)
4) City Youth Commission--Appointed by Mayor
5) VA/Valley Care Hospitals, Volunteer (4 years)

Awards:
1) National Merit Semifinalist
2) AP Scholor
3) Internship, Abgenix Biotech Company (summer, 8hrs a day)
4) Biotech Summer Institute, Merit-based selection program
5) Science Olympiad, numerous medals, state level
6) Winner in many Speech Contests (1st place)--Rotary Club, VFW
7) Many Taekwon-do tournament trophies

I think the MOST IMPORTANT thing is what I did this summer, which is the topic of my essay, which is well written

I went to India for two weeks and led a class on Taekwon-do and self-defense for a group of 30 blind girls. It was an absolutely enlightening experience and because of it, my essay turned out well. This project combined my two main passions: taekwon-do and the Women's Help Organization.

So what do you think are my chances? of Harvard? of any Ivies? Please let me know soon!

You already know the answer. Plus, Stanford isn't much easier to get in than Harvard.

SAT I- 2270 (770M, 760W, 740V)

yeah, you're SATs are uh...

how embarassing

No one gets into Stanford.

thanks ohgreenpeace

do it. What I mean to say is, write killer essays and the rest will work itself out.

I'll be working on it. It's just discouraging when people around you seem to be doing so much more. I mean, I feel like I've done everything that was meaningful to me to this point, but I still have the rest of my life to do everything else. It's just hard to know how much these colleges want...It's so difficult!

shut up. you know very well that you'll be fine. stop looking for us to bow to your mightiness.

Kriegz--you wouldn't be saying that if you knew the other kids at our school. Some have 15 APs, all 5s, 23-- on the SATs. One kid has a recommendation from a professor at Stanford that he researched under. One kid is a freakin genius who skipped two grades and got perfect SATs and has major band accomplishments. Plus, not to mention the other kids just like that at all the other schools. So, that's my side

yeah, but none of those people are you. Let me share my wisdom, since im just so good at everything. If you continue to compare yourself to everyone around you, you will ALWAYS feel like you haven't been doing enough. Im not saying just do what you have to and don't notice what anyone else is doing, cuz if you do that then your not gonna learn anything from others, but try to remember your own goals and do what you feel is important, because from the looks of it your doing just fine right now. I take that back, your doing more than fine. Yeah, you don't have to listen to me, you can continue comparing yourself to everyone, but trust me, it leads you nowhere, unless you try to top them all, but that's no fun. Don't actually try to top them all, you'll ruin your life, it was just a joke.

Dude, how many kids at your school taught karate to blind girls? Exactly.

Now you go out there and break some crap.

no financial aid, 90% chance
financial aid, 50% chance

lf61, i've never heard of financial need being a major factor at stanford.

The elite schools are need blind...

10% Harvard, 30% Stanford... Both are HIGHLY Unpredictable...

Still don't understand why people are leaving their AP's for senior year...especially those applying EA/ED

Valedictorian status, sup...it means something to people. Plus, colleges don't want to see that you slacked off your senior year.

neemi, really were u exaggerating a bit 15 aps u said, that would be pretty impossible since no1 takes them 9th i dont think ne1 has more than 13

well, yeah but someone does in fact have 14--some junior who skipped a grade and is now a senior--he booted everyone's class rank dow one

14 in 3 yrs so he took away ur #1 that sucks but r u sure 14 in 3 yrs
