Hi everyone. So today I GOT MY REPORT CARD AND GOT MY FIRST ACTUAL B. I've never gotten a plain B before... one B+ but never a B. I'm not trying to be one of those kids that is crying about their grades to get attention... but I was wondering honestly if this will affect my chances at admission into a prestigious university (such as Princeton, UVA, West Point, Cornell, etc.). I was looking at the statistics from these schools, and almost half of the applicants accepted have had a 4.0 (and that is now impossible for me). Do I still have a chance? Thanks in advance!!!

Princeton I think could care less if you got one B, Princeton frequently rejects 4.0 2400ers and frequently accepts those with passion for something even if they have less than stellar stats. Don’t know about UVA as they get loads of apps I figure a fair amount of descision is by numbers…

I know little about West Point or Cornell

bump… any other comments

Oops too late

. . .
It’s too late. Quit complaining. Of course you can still get in those colleges.

Lol, I ended up getting my first B today. It actually came out to be 89.48, which the teacher rounded down to an 89. Pretty sad considering it came down to a 0.02.

But life goes on…

^ like. that’s happened to me before too

I had an 89.6 something…which was not rounded.

PSHT. I’ve gotten a 93.4 That’s .1 from an A. And it’s happened twice.

I’m judging you, FutureIvy.

And it’s not good.

OH NO… psssssshhh i dont give a f***

Lol calm down…it’s one B. Princeton also doesn’t look at freshman year.

Dude. Stop being so strung out over one grade.

You are worrying about the wrong things.

Hey FutureIvy-- Just a heads up that you are the epitome of a crazy college confidential kid. Is that really who you want to be? Your call.

My advice: relax. Ultimately, you will be successful wherever you end up. Work hard, but keep everything in perspective and don’t forget to have some fun.
