Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Ok, I want some opinions on where to attend because I can't decide between two schools that I love. Rice is gorgeous, warm, and amazing; MIT is also fun with great people and amazing, but cold and not so pretty. Anyone want to help me make my decision because I honestly cannot decide.

I'm looking at majoring in:

Math
Physics
Architecture
Art
Astronomy
Astrophysics
Comp Sci

(I know I'm terrible.....)

I'm from South Texas btw

Well, since I'm not a fan of cold weather, I would pick Rice.

It sounds like you would be better suited for MIT based on the listed possible majors

any others?

Rice is also very strong in those majors you mentioned.

Do you want to push your boundaries and live somewhere very different from where you're growing up? Try somewhere new for a few years? Learn an entirely different part of the country? Or do you want to stay in your comfort zone? If you're from South Texas, that may be a big part of your decision.

Everybody at MIT loves science and math. There, you'll be around others who share the same interests as you.

Houston is opressively hot & humid, while Mass. has great change of seasons. Cold winters, yes. But the Cambridge/Boston area is amazing.

I remember when I spent time in Houston that it was near impossible to get anywhere without a car. That isn't the case in Boston.

I can't imagine anywhere better for math/science & your interests than MIT. Good luck.

i would pick MIT

Boston is AMAZING!!! And the cold, whatever....I was just at the MIT Museum...much fun!! And we walked around MIT, sure its got that 70s appearance in archetecture on the outside, but on the "inside"...wonderful
