Ai Hav argh Coaal'

^that's how i sound like if i try to say 'i have a cold'.

it started like on saturday, i believe, when i opened up the windows while sleeping because it was JUST SO HOT.

my head doesnt hurt THAT much but i do have a fever. i have a runny nose (cant breathe) and have been blowing away in tissues for awhile now. (desk full of crumpled tissues)

and i sneeze a lot, too...:( and i feel like 'uuuuhh..ehh..'

but i have so much stuff to do today....:(
any thoughts on how to get better? excluding sleeping and eating chicken soup or something...

take airborne -- ive been taking it and havent gotten sick in like 9 months

antibioticz

ooo yeah go ask your doctor for some antibiotics -- i dunno what it is but from the moment i start taking them i feel better, i guess its the thought of something trying to make your body get better i dunno

heyyy

i would appreciate suggestions withOUT drugs.
if i dont hv time 2 sleep i dont hv time 2 visit the doctor.

are there any tips that will at least keep me sharp for the next few hours? (i'm fresh out of redbull, sorry)

Be careful with taking antibiotics for everything. That's how you end up with superbugs that are resistant to everything.

Anyway, in terms of complaints, I totally have you beat. I've had a sore throat for two weeks now. It started out mild, and since I had finals I ingnored it. Last weekend, though, it started to get really bad.

Now my entire throat is so swollen up that I can barely swallow even water. It hurts like hell--the doctors gave me Tylenol 3 for the pain (mmm, codeine!)--and so does my ear. The throat is pussy and infected, and the doctors say that if it gets any worse they have to take a knife up there and drain the pus.

They gave me antibiotics, but the first one they gave me wasn't strong enough and didn't do a thing. I just got worse. I've been on a stronger one for a day. Hopefully it will help.

im so sorry -- the only thing that compares is when i was swimming last year and i developed this huge infection inside my chest/lungs (from breathing in water during swimming) and yeah anyway it was nasty.

We should start a nasty-infection support group on this site.

it should be like whats the worst infection/disease you've had

For me, some blood disease thing when i was two (in the hospital for a while) and the chest infection thing

I once had what my doctor thought was Rocky-Mountain-Spotted-Fever.

I had an allergic reaction to a medicine I was taking that caused a "drug-induced lupus." My joints started hurting like arthritis and I got a 102 fever every day. Basically, I felt all-around crappy constantly for months. The doctors and my family thought I had leukemia until they finally figured it out..I still have to go to Duke Children's Hospital every 3 months because my system went so crazy..and this was pretty long ago--first semester sophomore year.

I got a tummyache once after eating half a pack of processed cheese rubber square things when I was seven. I haven't had one since. I can't even bear the smell of them.

Mono sucks--I had it last summer. Who else has had that?

my gf had mono last year...it pretty much sucked and some how i didnt get it...
