^that's how i sound like if i try to say 'i have a cold'.

it started like on saturday, i believe, when i opened up the windows while sleeping because it was JUST SO HOT.

my head doesnt hurt THAT much but i do have a fever. i have a runny nose (cant breathe) and have been blowing away in tissues for awhile now. (desk full of crumpled tissues)

and i sneeze a lot, too...:( and i feel like 'uuuuhh..ehh..'

but i have so much stuff to do today....:(
any thoughts on how to get better? excluding sleeping and eating chicken soup or something...

ooo yeah go ask your doctor for some antibiotics -- i dunno what it is but from the moment i start taking them i feel better, i guess its the thought of something trying to make your body get better i dunno

Be careful with taking antibiotics for everything. That's how you end up with superbugs that are resistant to everything.

Anyway, in terms of complaints, I totally have you beat. I've had a sore throat for two weeks now. It started out mild, and since I had finals I ingnored it. Last weekend, though, it started to get really bad.

Now my entire throat is so swollen up that I can barely swallow even water. It hurts like hell--the doctors gave me Tylenol 3 for the pain (mmm, codeine!)--and so does my ear. The throat is pussy and infected, and the doctors say that if it gets any worse they have to take a knife up there and drain the pus.

They gave me antibiotics, but the first one they gave me wasn't strong enough and didn't do a thing. I just got worse. I've been on a stronger one for a day. Hopefully it will help.

im so sorry -- the only thing that compares is when i was swimming last year and i developed this huge infection inside my chest/lungs (from breathing in water during swimming) and yeah anyway it was nasty.

I had an allergic reaction to a medicine I was taking that caused a "drug-induced lupus." My joints started hurting like arthritis and I got a 102 fever every day. Basically, I felt all-around crappy constantly for months. The doctors and my family thought I had leukemia until they finally figured it out..I still have to go to Duke Children's Hospital every 3 months because my system went so crazy..and this was pretty long ago--first semester sophomore year.

I got a tummyache once after eating half a pack of processed cheese rubber square things when I was seven. I haven't had one since. I can't even bear the smell of them.
