It makes sense that they would want 2017 info. In some cases those high medical bills could no longer be the case…and the family current income would be able to more easily pay college costs.
If the medical expenses are current…that would be impacting NOW.

What do they need an accountant for?
They need their own insurance claims EOBs, and might need a note stating that the medical care is essential. And they need a receipt for payment iof their health insurance costs.
Why in the world would they need an accountant?
Accountants understand college finances.
I’m not wishing to debate this…but the vast majority of accountants have absolutely NO good understanding of college financial aid…or finances.
Let’s just let this go…because this poster doesn’t need this for their appeal based on medical expenses.
