<p>Hey, I just had a quick qestion regarding the financial aid package. Is this completely separate from the merit based scholarships? They like to quote the average package at $22,000/year...but is this realistic without some sort of academic scholarship? I'm waiting on "the letter," but if it's only need-based aid, I'm probably looking at almost full tuition. Anyone who can help/has similar questions?</p>
<p>Yeah, it is. I only had the transfer scholarship coming into Tulane (which was like $10,000 I think?) but they gave me another $20,000 in Tulane Grant and $3000 in Pell Grant (I'm poor). </p>
<p>I have no idea what the financial aid packages will be like now, though (Post-katrina)... Tulane is having a lot of financial issues.</p>
