I got into UNC as an OOS and it'll cost rougly 39,000 per year. When I filed my fafsa, my EFC was 1,700 and UNC says and it's said everywhere that UNC meets 100% of financial need. but I realized that it's include loans too. They're not gonna give me like $15,000 and ask me to get 24k in loans, are they?
how much do you I could get, best and worst scenario?
thanks

Did u fill out css profile.

If after all consideration, the most u should get in loans is 5500 plus maybe some perkins.

I did fill out CSS Profile. I turned in everything needed before the deadlines

I believe UNC guarantees to meet need without loans for very low income families. It also states “By policy, we meet full need of all on-time and eligible financial aid applicants” on their Common Data Set and they met need for all students as defined by:
so they do not count unsubsidized or other loans in meeting need.

Note that full need might not be the amount of your EFC. If UNC uses the Profile, it will determine need as it sees fit.

That is true. If the OP has significant assets then the CSS portion could be very different from the FAFSA EFC.

Does UNC consider NCP info?

Does the OP have a noncustodial parent?

Apparently UNC does not.
