Aidez-moi!

Hey I am a rising senior and am applying to only a few schools.

GPA: 3.8ish

SAT: Planning on not submitting scores to those that don't require it (essentially my entire list)

SAT II: French 800 US History 750

EC's

Tuba player in top band (all years)
Lived in France as exchange student all of junior year
Founder/President AFS International Club
French Tutor
Teach French to fifth graders
AFS (Exchange Student organization) exchange student liaison, exchange student promoter
Received top award in Academic Excellence at school, notably in foreign languages
Photo Editor for School newspaper

AP: French 5 US History 4 or 5 (will find out soon)

Next year: AP Gov't., AP Lit., AP Statistics, AP Environmental Science

Highly competitive school in CA, no class rankings

Bowdoin (top choice)
Bates
Bard
Lewis and Clark
U of San Francisco (safety)
U of Seattle (safety)
American University of Paris (safety, but most likely not due to ridiculous parisian living expenses)

Deciding on studying Foreign Language or Economics (or both)

I am really hoping on Bowdoin, I love it so much but one must not be sure of anything. I am planning on focusing my essay around my year in France

Bump Bump Bump Bump

Are you applying early decision to Bowdoin? If so, you probably have a pretty good shot. Good luck though! I'm going to Bowdoin next year, so I agree that it's an awesome school :)

Early Decision? Does that rid myself of financial aid leverage? Also, is there any way I can send schools ONLY my SAT II scores and not have them see ALL my scores?

Thanks

Scott

I don't think so
