Aiming too high?

Hi!

I'm a junior in high school from Jersey planning to go into engineering, and I've already got a lot of colleges lined up. I've got a few Safeties (Rutgers, Rowan, TCNJ, Temple, Drexel; the typical schools we all go to), but I also have a few reaches (no matches ahahaha). Before I end up not applying to any of them (or applying to all of them, paying hundreds of dollars, and having my dreams crushed), would I actually get into these schools?

Carnegie Mellon
Cornell
Princeton
John Hopkins
Stanford

My current stats are:
GPA (unweighted): 3.83
GPA (weighted): 5.83
Expected Rank: Top 20/~500; Top 10 if I get an A in math this year
SAT I: CR 800 Math 680 Writing 690 (Will be re-taking in the fall as well as taking subject tests)

Classes:
Freshman Year:
Honors Latin I
Honors Spanish II
Honors Biology
Honors Geometry
Honors English I

Sophomore Year:
Honors Latin II
Honors Spanish III
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra II
Honors English II
Honors US History I

Junior Year:
Honors Spanish IV
AP Physics B
Honors Pre-Calculus
AP English (Language and Composition)
AP Psychology
Honors US History II
(And I'm going to test out of Honors Latin III; I'm pretty confident I'll pass)

Senior year, I'm expecting to take 5 AP classes and 2 honors; this is subject to change, but there will definitely be at least 4 AP classes (the other 3 would be honors). I received an A in everything except for Algebra 2, Chemistry, and (probably) Pre-Calc, which were/are all Bs.

Based solely on academics, would I get in? (And if I participated in 6-ish extracurriculars per year since freshman year with only 2 leadership positions, would that affect my chances?)

Oh, and I'm Filipina, if ethnicity factors into it ahaha

Based solely on my opinion, I do not think you will get into those schools.

Those are pretty good stats for a female going into engineering. I think you have a shot at all of them, although Stanford and Princeton would be low probabilities. Perhaps you should also consider MIT – about 18% of their female applicants get accepted, which is about the same as Cornell’s overall rate.

I agree that especially Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon are definitely possible. Carnegie Mellon, I think, values visits from potential students if you can do it. Come up with some matches…Purdue maybe? I don’t really know the engineering schools. If you are willing to consider all female, Smith would be worth checking out.
