<p>I live in hitch, and theres no airconditioning. Do they let us bring A/C units? Is there anything thats cheap on the market that can keep a room cool other than a fan?</p>
<p>bags of ice, hanging out with friends in their air conditioned rooms, etc. you could also just keep your refrigerator door open. the overall temperature will rise, but if you sit close to the cold part, you should be fine.</p>
<p>I’m curious, do res halls have AC or not? I’ve heard both that they do (just without any thermostats in the rooms) and that they don’t, but I haven’t been able to find anything semi-official that states that they do.</p>

<p>You honestly will be surprised but you don’t really need a/c in Hitch as much as you might think.</p>
<p>What about living 3rd floor? I guess its pretty much useless throughout the year, but the heat waves these few days got my attention. If I’m stuck on top of a hill (I live in a valley) on the third floor…x_X Has anyone ever used a portable AC though?</p>

<p>I spent much time in a room on the third floor of Hitch. It gets warm, but having your windows open and running a fan will do the trick.</p>

<p>Just bring a small or medium fan, and prop it up against your window to blow in the cooler air.</p>

<p>Ohh yea, thanks for reminding me about the spiders. There were only three of em that i remembered, nothing that a kleenex and some fast hands couldnt solve.</p>
<p>There are a lot of little ones… I did have one on the outside of my window at one point (I was on the first floor of B North, where I got a lot of spiders) that I swear looked like a cat with 8 legs.</p>
<p>I once also stumbled across a cat and a racoon fighting by the laundry room! Ah the fun of Hitch!</p>

<p>get a fan, wet a towel in cold water and place on head, put pan of ice in front of fan.</p>
