Did anyone get invited to visit Denison University via 'airdenison'- the school pays your airfare? Curious to know more about it.

No, I’ve never heard of it. My D visited, and will be applying, so we’re on mailing lists, but didn’t hear about this. We are about a 6-hour drive away, so that may be a factor.

OK, now that D has been accepted, she is looking into flights for accepted student activities. I was shocked to see the prices of flights from DC (Reagan, Dulles, or BWI) to Columbus, and very few non-stop flights (none from BWI). Anyone have any experience flying from DC to Columbus, and if so, care to offer any tips? At this point, I think we’ll drive the 6 hours.

Southwest has cheap non stops from BWI

@inquisitive, thanks, but I couldn’t find any. I spoke with a rep from Denison, and she tentatively booked my D on a flight from DCA with a layover at JFK. It would have cost me $372 for my ticket. We’ll save time and money by driving!

Another option is flying in to Dayton and driving 90 mins to the school. There are direct flights from Reagan and Dulles.

@ErinsDad, we’re going to combine our visit to Denison with a tour of Miami in Oxford, so driving makes more sense. Thanks for this, and for all your past insight, you’ve been extremely helpful to our family in this taxing process!
