I will be taking the CFT in my process of applying in the next year, and was wondering if anyone had any specifics about it? Or how to prepare? I am female, so I was looking for the requirements for me.
Also, currently my ACT scores are Math:26, English:34, Reading: 33, Science:30, and was wondering how I rank on the application process? Does it help to take the SAT? Is ACT plus Writing needed? Thank you to anyone who can answer these questions!

[Air Force Academy](http://www.academyadmissions.com) will answer a lot of your questions (if you can navigate it…)

For the CFT: do the exercises on it. Be able to beat the averages in each area. That way, you should have no problems.

Your math score is on the low side. USAFA is very heavy into math and engineering. USAFA superscores, so the best combination of area scores from any ACTs or SATs you take will be what they consider.

Mollie, do you play a sport? Take Raimius’ advice and get practicing, find a training buddy if you can, and keep track of your scores as you go. Be honest - don’t round up on time. You will improve over time and it’ll be twice as rewarding.

it would be good if you could up that math score. Can you find a tutor, especially a tutor who can teach you not just math, but how to score better on standardized math tests?

It definitely wouldn’t hurt to take the SAT. It looks like you have done pretty well on all the portions of the ACT but a little lower on the math. Just get some of the practice books at barnes and noble. Just keep on trying, I took SAT/ACT tests a combined 10 times, 6 for SAT and 4 ACT…payed off tremendously though. Good luck!
