Sports Profile

Practice CFA Results:
Pull-up: 0
Flex Arm: 0:10
Bball throw: 39 ft
Shuttle: 10.0
Situp: 63
Pushup: 43
Mile: 8:06

Academically you are competitive, however it does not look like you meet the physical qualifications of either service academy. I would suggest getting a physical trainer and retaking the CFA at a later date.

Yep. I can tell you from experience that going to a service academy and not being able to pass their PT tests fairly easily adds a LOT of stress to a cadet’s life. It took me nearly half my time at USAFA to get to an acceptable average, and that was not a pleasant experience…VERY educational though!

I don’t know USNA’s PT tests, but USAFA’s is running (1.5mi and 600m), push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and a standing long jump. The shuttle run and Bball throw are only important for the application (goofy in my opinion, but that’s the test). I HIGHLY recommend you don’t settle for 0 pull-ups. If you need to get a trainer, do it. I did, when I was a candidate, and it’s probably the reason I did well enough to get an appointment (academics and EC’s were strong).
