Airport to UCSD?

What's the best way to get from the airport to UCSD and back? I heard that a lot of people use the shuttles. Which one do most people use?

My orientation is on Thursday, and I'm a bit nervous since I've never been to SD before.

Is this Revelle? If so the orientation FAQ’s say:
Revelle College does not provide transportation to and from the San Diego International Airport. Please visit the ground transportation portion of the San Diego International Airport site for transportation options available to you.
When are you arriving? Orientation for Revelle starts 8-9am on Thurs. 6-18 and I don’t think early on-campus housing is available for this session.

I’ve seen Cloud 9 shuttles all over campus I think a lot of people use them. Personally I take taxis so I don’t have to stress out and waste time, I recommend Terra Moto Taxis - like $33 each way which is fairly expensive but soo worth it. They use hybrid cars :)

I researched this for my 22-23 orientation date cuz i’m also from San Jose! I think the best one is Cloud 9 shuttle. I called them and they said that after landing, you have to request a shuttle (i forgot from who, i think the lady said “from the customer service representative in the red coat”) and they’ll come pick you up and drop you off at UCSD. The lady said it would be about $17. The shuttles are located in the transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2. You can call them at 619-505-4950.

Hope this helps and have fun at orientation! Be sure to report back.

@Frosting: So I don’t have to make a reservation? I just find “the customer service representative in the red coat” and request a shuttle? What about when I return?

You can also take public transportation.

Take the 992 to downtown, followed by the 150 or the 30 north.
