Airport Transportation

I feel like a neophyte asking all of theses questions but since we have no experience in these areas, I am thankful for all of the suggestions. I have already followed the advice given on CC for orientation and PW. Sooo...

I am making air travel plans for thanksgiving (believe it or not...airlines are already selling out). I am also looking into the end of the semester and was wondering if there is any mechanism that W+M has to get students to any of the airports for these dates? Do they have a van or bus they use? If not what is the best way to get my S to the Norfolk airport? It took me about 1 hr to get there when we visited CW...how long should should my S plan to get say a 5 pm flight? What about return transportation? Any advice would be welcomed? Thanks.

I remember asking many of these same questions when my d1 was a freshman 11 years ago - you’ll be a pro soon, richiro. The Student Assembly sponsors buses to area airports at holiday and break time.
My kids never wound up on one of these buses, probably because seating is limited and somehow my kids were always leaving at odd times. They used Groome Transportation to get back and forth to the Richmond Airport: [<<< Groome Transportation >>>](Shared Airport Shuttle Service - Groome Transportation - Book Now) About $50 one-way with tip. The service is usually good, though there were exceptions. There’s a Groome kiosk at the Richmond airport, and the Williamsburg-bound cars depart once an hour.

I usually found that flights from Richmond were cheaper for our destination in upstate NY than Norfolk. The one time a kid flew into Norfolk, the ground transportation cost was $100 to get back to W&M, which we all thought was crazy, though she did wind up going with that option.
