<p>Does anyone know when they send out acceptance notices for Alabama Action. We did not get it in by the priority deadline of April 1 but we did send it in a few days later (I think the 3rd). Just wondering what the process is. Also, wanted to know if you are not in honors housing do they still let you move into your room early?</p>
<p>BassettMomma, has your check cleared yet? Last spring, when my check had not cleared yet, I e-mailed Jami Gates to make sure that my son was registered. He was. If I remember correctly, the Honors College sent out a bunch of confirmation letters at all once – somewhere around early May. As for moving in, yes, your son will be able to move in early even if he is not in the honors dorm. Just double check with housing about that, and make sure the powers that be know he is coming in for Alabama Action.</p>
<p>no check has not cleared. I was going to wait another week and then call. I want to make sure i dont wait too long in case it was lost in the mail. I know that Honors reg starts in May.</p>
<p>My D applied a good while ago, however, has not received an “official” acceptance. The check cleared, so she emailed the Honors College and received this response on Apr. 2nd.:</p>
<p>“Yes, we have your Alabama Action application, and it appears that everything has been taken care of. Any additional information that you need regarding AA will be sent to you.”</p>
<p>I am assuming that we will be receiving info soon.</p>
<p>I’d think that you should receive info about Alabama Action soon, but the final packet may not come until later. I know that they sent out the final info packet late enough last year that it arrived at my house the day before Alabama Action was to start, and I was already in Alabama. If a person is living in a non-honors dorm, then that dorm will be open for move in. In addition to Alabama Action and Outdoor Action, there are other groups also moving in early. Even if there wasn’t, the RA’s are there starting August 1, so you’d be able to move in anyway.</p>
<p>Check your crimson email. My DS got an acceptance email for outdoor action this week. The email said he would get a packet soon. Also, directed him to join a facebook group for outdoor action.</p>

<p>^ same here for OA, son got the email this week. Sent in the registration April 12th.</p>
<p>We sent in my son’s ap and a check earlier this week. Check has not been cashed and I imagine, given snail mail, that is has just or will just arrive. We called Jami G. and she indicated there were still openings before we sent in the ap. So, I imagine we will hear sometime soon. I know we’re watching so we can make our plane reservations for August.</p>
