there are still some new internships popping up if you keep looking. try indeed, glassdoor and others.

Thanks Mike. I’ll pass the info on. He has great grades, recs, etc., just hasn’t connected yet. I know it will happen.

maybe ask teachers if anyone knows anyone looking for an intern. the one my daughter is hooked up with came from a prof within chemE. no leads at all from the spring career fair.

One poster stated that US News does not rank undergraduate engineering programs, this is not true. I provided the link for those interested.

If your son hasn’t visited and would like to learn about Bamas engineering programs. Try the SITE summer camp. It is a week long intro to the Engineering programs offered. Very helpful.

YES, HIGHLY recommend it or similar program at any eng’g school for those who are looking ahead. SITE is geared towards rising Juniors and Seniors (not current Seniors).

Welcome, bamagrad! Great posts. Hope you’ll stick around or check in from time to time.

I wonder how UAProphet is doing. He graduated with a ChemEng’g degree about 2 years ago and immediately found a ChemE job in his hometown…which I think was in PA or OH.

Here’s a link to the graduate engineering rankings in 2013, if anyone is interested:

U. Alabama is 112th.

There is one out for undergraduate rankings by US News, as previously mentioned.

I think I know UAProphet. He’s in Huntsville now, working on the Arsenal.
