Alabama, IU, Ohio State for business

Hello,
I was accepted into Indiana, Ohio State, and Alabama for business. I am an Illinois resident, so I am out of state for all 3. I plan on studying finance. Alabama is the cheapest of the three (full tuition) and Indiana is the most expensive (35k) while Ohio State is around 25k. I will have to take some loans for Indiana and OSU, but not a ton. I have visited Indiana and Ohio State, and am visiting Alabama in a few weeks. Which of these schools should I attend and why?

Congrats - nice options to have. They generally rank Indiana, Ohio State, followed by Alabama. I would factor in what you want to do career wise and make the best decision. If you are looking to work for an elite Wall St firm probably Indiana Kelley. If you are looking for a just a solid business role at a Fortune 500 somewhere like Alabama can get you there and it is hard to beat the free tuition.

Visit Alabama first, and then decide.

What are your parents saying about how much they’ll pay each year?

How much would you have to borrow for freshman year at Indiana?

My parents have enough saved be able to pay for the first year, and then probably living costs for the next 3 years. So I’d probably be borrowing somewhere in the 50-60k range over four years.
