Hey guys,

I would think they are the same. I think either the CEO of Lockheed Martin or Raytheon got her degree from Alabama.
NASA’s Marshall Space Center is in Huntsville, AL
Virginia Tech is the better program. Alabama has better financial aid.
Marilyn Hewson, Lockheed Martin’s CEO is a Bama grad. I’ve worked with aero engineers with degrees from either VT or UA and they are all very competent. You can’t go wrong with either school.
Alabama Astrobotics just won the NASA Robotics Mining Competition. So there’s that…
Both are very solid accredited programs. Do well at either and you will have the same opportunities.
Funny, our group has actually had pretty bad luck with Vtech graduates. I think we’ve toured about 4 over the past 4 years and not a single one ended up working out. Probably (hopefully) just bad apples though…
See, I’ve worked with some really good aerospace engineers from VT.
