What am I to make of being deferred in their decision on an early action application? I guess its better than being rejected? Are we enroute to being wait-listed? If you have any insight on this please post. GPA is 3.5 SAT Combined is 1010. Thanks

Your GPA is fine, however, your low SAT score is causing you to get deferred - I suggest you retest - or try the ACT.

So we'll have enuf time if we re-test on Jan 28th and re-submit by end of February? I guess thats our only option other than hoping!

I'm not sure, but I do know that your low SAT score caused you to be deferred.

Is that a 1010 out of 1600 or 2400? Kinda makes a big difference.

Writing brought the score up to 1600 ish. I guess it can't hurt to re-test. Better to re-test now than to desperately re-test later on. Thanks

dont worry, you're in, you only got defered because they take the best students first.

lol i dont know how u could be deferred from albany, i dont know i got in early action with 1100 and 90.73 gpa

you'll get in. my friend got in with a 3.2 & a 1070...

Haven't heard yet.. but hope to hear soon. Thanks again and good luck.

Do you live in-state, or not?

I got deferred with a 1110 SAT score and a 4.51 (out of 6) GPA, along with many other things that I have accomplished. I think it is mainly because I'm out-of state. (I live in Jersey)
