Has anyone heard for interviews yet from Albany Medical College?

I just got their supplemental application by email (union/amc) and it's due feb 1... I dont think we'll hear about interviews for a while.

neeeat i just got an interview invite to AMC...pretty exciting cuz it's the first thing i've heard back from an accelerated, about me moving on to the last step. how many are accepted to the accelerated Union/AMC program? In my interview letter, it said 100 are invited for interviews, but it didn't say how many make the final cut.

wow... how did you get an interview already for the program? when did you get/submit the supplemental application?

they sent me the email with the supplemental stuff on friday or thursday, i believe, & i submitted it sunday. yeah i thought it was really early too, for a response, but lol i'm not complaining.

the lady at the orientation said last year they accepted 66 of the 92 people that interviewed at AMC.

wow they responded quickly. congrats peachy... very exciting, huh? I hope to join you in the ranks of those lucky enough to be interviewed!

wow thats pretty quick. They sent me the supplement yesterday (finally!?!?) It says that I have 7 days to submit it but the deadline is feb 1st or something so i'm a little confused.

yeah i think i beat you all lol. ive received the supplement a while back and submitted it a few days ago. ive also been called to interview,................MONDAY . kinda peeing my pants right now and attempting to come up with answers to questions like 'describe yourself' and 'how can u help improve 21century medicine?' Any comments for late minute interview prep for Union/AMC would be much appreciated.

do you know if prog kids get scholarships from union college
because if not then it's going to be a pretty expensiveeee 8 years haha because union is around 40k a year

I know for the penn state program - there are no scholarships for prog kids because penn state claims that since you're already missing 2 years and you only have to pay for 2 years, that itself is some sort of scholarship or something

i think union does give scholarships. when i visited a while back, i remember them saying tht all the ppl in the program automatically get a 13 grand annual scholarship. not 100% positive tho.

my sister's in the program, and she gets very good merit aid

oh really. i heard everyone accepted to the program gets a tuition deduction. do u know anything else about it.

did all of you who applied have Laboratory Research Experience? i have nothing and im afraid that if i leave that section blank it will be an automatic rejection.

as long as you have some kind of medical experience (more than volunteering hopefully) i think you should be ok.

but yeah does anyone know if kids accepted to the union/AMC program get an automatic scholarship or a big tuition dicsount? I remember hearing they give u 13grand off the tuition because the program is so long(8yrs)

okay...way confused. i got an email from AMC/Combined degree programs saying that i'm invited to fill out the supplemental for the physician-scientist program. it was the exact same thing as the LIM email, excpet this one was for P-S. It even had the same contact woman, Betty Sullivan. So i clicked on the link, and it took me to the supplemental i already filled out and submitted to the LIM..a message wouldnt let me access it, saying that the deadline had passed (even though in the email, it said the deadline was 2/16). im majorly confused. i have the LIM interview monday morning...i doubt its also my P-S interview cuz i havent filled out their supplement, which is the same thing. as you can see i have no idea what im talking about so please help clarify. i think i'll give Betty a call tmrw as well.

I think its better if you just call Betty.
