<p>I’m in the process of updating D’s auto insurance (she will be returning to school this fall with a new-to-her car!!). She is taking advantage of several discounts but not one for alcohol/drug awareness. Does anyone know if AlcoholEdu qualifies as an alcohol awareness course for auto insurance purposes? I’ll check with our company on Monday but am hoping that it does.</p>
<p>The insurance company likely has a detailed policy on what one has to do to get the alcohol/drug awareness discount. AlcoholEdu does seem to fit this purpose, but the insurance company may have different requirements. It is also possible that your daughter is not eligible for the discount despite it being mentioned in the insurance paperwork. Some discounts can only be offered to residents of certain states.</p>
