Got an awful, awful score (41%), after taking it without having done any math in what seems like forever. I felt like I forgot a lot of math, I didn't review anything as I felt I needed to rush through the exam because the deadline is tomorrow (June 15). Does that mean I'll be taking a remedial math class? The site says that students who score 40% take M303D, Applicable Mathematics, as shown on their website:

Every UT student enrolled in one of the below courses is required to obtain a minimum ALEKS placement score by noon of the 5th class day of the semester of at least:

80% for Math 408C
70% for Math 408K and 408N
65% for Math 410T
55% for Math 305G
40% for Math 303D
30% Math 310T and 316*
30% SSC * 302. 303, 304, 305, and 306
* score not required for M316 or SSC courses with credit of calculus or precalculus

I'm a comp sci major, is this a bad thing? Also, do they allow us to retake this exam?

“ALEKS Math Deadline: June 15 (not before your orientation). Sorry about the confusion, but this is the deadline you have to take your first ALEKS Math test by. Otherwise you cannot register for precal or calculus classes at the orientation. Remember, you do not have to pass the test your first time. You can improve your score to the acceptable score until the fourth class day.”

From an email received from the College of Natural Sciences.

The deadline to take ALEKS for the College of Natural Science is 6/23 FOR TRANSFERS, NOT today (6/15). It is only today (6/15) for incoming freshman. I e-mailed the tutor that’s been e-mailing us and she confirmed the deadline is 6/23 for transfers, she had mixed up the dates.
