Just curious how you know so much about Michigan admissions. Are you a
former counselor? Are you from the US originally?

Alexandre - Just reading a few of your former posts so I'm going to ask what's your opinion of Michigan's Engineering compared to Purdue's? Purdue is
ranked 2 under Michigan though much easier to get into. My son got into Purdue and is
still waiting to hear from Michigan. He had a former engineer tell him Purdue's department
is better. How does one make this decision....especially since Purdue is considerbly less money to attend? (Out-of-state both schools)

Jobwise they are pretty even as are most Big 10 schools. I would use other factors to decide.

It really depends on what your son wants to do. In terms of Enginering, Purude and Michigan are about the same...however, my advice would be for your son to visit both campuses and decide which he likes better. Also, if your son decides to change majors or work in a field other than Engineering upon graduation, I believe Michigan will probably serve him better. Also, if he wishes to apply to graduate school in the future, I also think Michigan will serve him better.
