I'm getting very worried about my admission decision...i've been waiting 13/14 weeks, they sent me an email the other day saying that it'll be a few weeks longer. My GPA on my school's scale (100 point scale) is a 94.5 weighted, which is like a 3.8 or 3.9 on a 4.0 scale, but I calculated my UMich scale (assigining 4 for A, 3 for B, etc and only using sophomore and freshman year) and it was really low...it came out to 3.36. Is this going to look really bad? I'm considering faxing in my senoir year grades even though they don't ask for it because my 1st Semester GPA was a 98, or a 4.0 on their scale. My SAT's are 1450, SAT II's 750 math IIC, 750 writing, 660 history, and i've got a lot of ec's and good leadership. what do you think?

UMich does not take into account freshman year grades...recalculate your sophomore and junior year GPA...perhaps that's higher

also, are you in-state? the SAT score will help you

you should definitely send in the mid-year report. i think they ask for it anyway, if you turn out to be deferred or accepted.

Swooshstar, Michigan does not look at Freshman grades...nor does it look at non-core classes. So you will have to recalculate your GPA, using only core classes for your Sophomore and Junior years.

Your SAT is good, so I would not worry about that.

As for sending your midyear report...that will be done anyway. You can check with Michigan and with your school to make sure it happens, but it usually always does.

The main thing is to be patient.
