Should I take honors algebra 2 when I nearly got an a plus in algebra 1 and an a- in reg geometry. I don't want to overwhelm myself. I'm already taking AP European history and AP biology this sophomore year

I really want to do well in ap bio because I want to do science in the future

At the school I attend, I’ve heard much of my people in my grade (10th) back then that they mostly succeeded in the class, but the information and vocabulary COULD be tedious, otherwise its an easy class if you know how to manage. AP Bio may help Algebra 2 according from my teacher in Alg 2 because of Standard Deviation and some other few aspects…although there is little math in AP Bio, its all Algebra & Statistics, so it may help.

But with AP Euro idk…the addition with AP Euro adds a lot of time. Social Science APs are seen as easy classes, but you have to read a lot to process the information. If you’re not 100% confident on taking Honors, then take regular Algebra 2. My school doesn’t even offer any advanced Algerba 2 class, so you will be OK in terms of rigor and college admissions, except if you are planning to head to a tippy top school in the nation ex., Ivy League, Stanford, Rice, NYU, etc…then Hon. is a must.

Good luck!

I took Honors Algebra 2 freshman year alongside AP Govt and it was fine. You’ll be fine.
