A lot of my school's AP classes are designed so not a lot of people get As... For example, last year in AP US, the highest grade in that class was a B+... Also, on a bio lab, the highest grade on a lab was an 86... (and there were vert SMART people in those classes) So I question those people who seem to get all As in all AP classes, since in some of the classes, the classes are so hard and the teacher refuses to give anyone As... Those people probably go to easy schools, lol

At my school about 90% of the people taking AP Biology get an A or a B. 100% of students get a 4 or a 5 on the exam.

It doesn't mean anything.

Our school's AP classes place work ethic higher than tests, so if you work hard and do all of your homework, you're almost guaranteed an A. It works against me though because I'm am a bit of a procrastinator.

^^^Dang, so if you do all your homework and fail the tests, you get As? Aren't the point of AP classes to challenge people and not make everything easy?

I was one of the two people to get an A in AP Physics. One of the two to get an A in APUSH, one of the three to get an A in AP Bio, and one of the two to get an A in AP Calc.

The class average was usually a mid D or so. Only calc and physics were easy, the rest were hard as hell.

Last year, 12 out of the 14 people who took the AP Calc BC exam got a 5, the other 2 received a 4 (BTW, there were only 15 people in the class). The grade only means how hard the person worked in the class.

AP Art History - 1/3 who got an A (about 15-20 people)
AP Calc- I don't know, a lot get A's.
AP Chem- 1/2 out of 10?
AP Eng Lang- 1/2 out of 60 (two classes)...probably the hardest AP class at our school.
APUSH- 1/2 or 3 out of 30ish people.

This year so far:
AP Stats-almost everyone ahs an A/B
AP Eng Lit-1/4ish out of 25+ in my class. It's only the beginning of the 2nd nine weeks though.
AP Physics C- Independent study, do the work and get an A, but I'm ahead of the other 5 people (they are in a different period)
AP US Govt-only A out of 14, probably the second hardest AP grade-wise
AP Calc BC- 1/5ish out of 15
AP World History- don't know. Pretty easy A if you've been through the other histories. She gives a WHOLE lot of EC.

kirklandalanbob, not necessarily. You'd probably get a B if you failed all the tests/quizzes. However if you pass them all, you have a good chance of getting an A.

And the course is challenging. It's not a little bit of work we're doing....it's a ton of work we're doing. More work than you would recieve at any college. You have to type 15 pages per week and spend about 20 hours on homework per week, excluding studying. Combine that with a busy life and little time, and you're out of luck.

Sometimes I have had to stay up till 4:00 am to finish the assignments.
