Hi! I'm a junior in the middle of sorting through the masses of information on BFA programs, and I was wondering if anyone know of any programs that have really intensive acting training, but that also give the students the opportunity to get training in voice, and well as design and production? Thank you so much!!

NYU Tisch!!
There is no guarantee when you audition, but one of the studios is called Playwrights Horizons that give you insight into design and production (as well as acting). But if you don’t get into that one, you also take a class called Introduction to Theatrical Production, which gives you a background on quite a bit of the production side of theatre.

When you say Voice, if you mean voice and speech training, all studios offer that. If you mean voice, like singing voice, you have an option to take voice lessons

Thank you so much Smokeandfire! I’m actually going to the Tisch information session next week, so excited!

It’s not a BFA program but Northwestern has an excellent non-audition BA program with many required and optional classes and experiences in design and production and voice. Their trimester program offers opportunity for many more classes per year.

You might want to investigate a degree in Theatre Studies, or something similar. They allow you to take classes across a broader spectrum than a typical performance BFA.
